Za'Lart 2017 Newsletter - Public assets used for electoral purposes, while compensation for foods is given in exchange for promised votes

A few days before voting, dozens of citizens from Shkodra and neighboring low land report that a fund allocated by the Government to those eligible for compensation for floods is being distributed in a selective manner. They claim that compensation is only being given to those who commit to voting for a certain political party. People, whose homes have been flooded, say that they have been waiting for years for that compensation. According to them, the one that are benefitting are those who will vote for one political party, and that the distribution of the fund has not been done in the offices of the Energy Distribution System Operator as expected, but through certain people. Oneof the three reports addressing this issue includes also a picture of the car of one of the persons involved in distributing cheques in the field . Another one shows a cheque held by a person, who claims to have received it for having declared that he would be voting for a certain party. Reports show also other citizens, who say that they are known as people, who do not vote for the party currently in power, and that they are being penalized for that.
