The role of the assembly needs to strengthen on financial control and the EU integration process
The Parliament should exercise more control and be more engaged in the Financial Control Process, according to Chapter 32 of Cluster 1, in the process of Negotiations with the European Union. This was one of the conclusions presented in the Policy Paper drafted by an AIS expert, a document presented at an event held on October 12th. Recommendations for strengthening the role of the parliament and establishing a Sub-committee on Financial Control were presented to a large audience, including the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee for Finance and Economy, Mr. Eduard Shalsi, and the Deputy Chairperson of this committee, Mr. Arbi Agalliu. AIS, in cooperation with its partner organizations, is part of the implementation of the project entitled Improving the Debate on Policies and Accountability to Fulfill Basic Rights through the creation of the Cluster 1. The Policy Paper and the analyzed Facts are published on AIS website.
